Facilities Management Director
Travis Parker brings over a decade of expertise in Facilities Management, with extensive experience managing diverse facility operations at both the municipal and county government levels. As the Director of Facilities Management for Alachua County, he provides strategic leadership and oversight for facility operations and maintenance, capital improvement projects, landscape services, and facility safety. His comprehensive approach is informed by experience managing both in-house teams and contracted service providers, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Prior to his current role, Travis served as the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Facilities for the City of Newberry, a position that gave him broad exposure to all aspects of local government operations. This role allowed him to connect with the community and become a trusted leader and advocate for public service. His leadership encompassed recreation programming, facilities management, and community engagement, solidifying his reputation as a pillar in the community.
Travis holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He is a Certified Public Manager through Florida State University and a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional through the National Recreation and Park Association, demonstrating his commitment to excellence and advancing public service.
