Know Before You Go

A section of the Hammock Loop Trail at Turkey Creek Preserve will be temporarily closed for construction activities of a wildlife observation platform. It will be closed between trail markers 11 and 13. All other trails remain open.

The closure is expected to remain in effect through the end of June depending on project progress. When work is completed, the County will remove the closure signs and advise the public that the trails are open again. 

As temperatures rise and summer weather conditions become more challenging, please use extra caution when hiking on our preserves and trails. Bring plenty of water, wear light-colored clothing, use sun protection, and plan hikes during the cooler morning hours whenever possible.
