The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 SE 1st St., Gainesville). This meeting begins at 6 p.m.
The committee will take public comments in person only. The meeting can be viewed on Cox Channel 12, the AC TV app (Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku), or the county’s video-on-demand website.

Z25-000021 Special Exception for Tyrone Private Landing Strip – This is a request by Avery Hill, applicant, for Tyrone & Tyrone Trustees, owners, for a special exception to allow a private landing strip. The site is in the Agricultural (A) zoning district and has a future land use designation of Rural/Ag (1 dwelling unit per 5 acres). The site is located at 3828 SW Wacahoota Road on a 2.54 acre portion tax parcel number 07385-000-000.
