10-16-25 Development Review Committee Meeting

​​The Alachua County Development Review Committee will meet on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, in the Jack Durrance Auditorium on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 SE 1st St., Gainesville). This meeting begins at 1:30 p.m.

The committee will take public comments in person only. The meeting is not available live on Cox Channel 12, but is available on the AC TV app (Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku), and the county’s video-on-demand website.

Items for the Development Review Committee meeting:

Varnes Dock and Boathouse – This is a Final Development Plan and Flood Plain Development Permit for Varnes Dock and Boathouse to construct a new 892 SF dock and boathouse on approximately 0.89 acres. It is located on Tax Parcel Number 18398-001-000, at 20680 NE 132nd Ave, Waldo.

Flamingo Sports Club – This is a Revised Final Development Plan for Flamingo Sports Club to construct a recreation facility, indoor and outdoor facilities, including pickleball and tennis courts, on approximately 21.44 acres. It is located on Tax Parcel Number 07089-002-000 on SW Archer Rd west of SW 91st Street (Special Exception Z24-000007).

Live Oak Cottages – This is a Final Development Plan for Live Oak Cottages to construct a 75-unit residential cottage neighborhood with associated improvements on 9.38 acres. It is located on Tax Parcel Number 04227-000-000 at 2404 NW 143rd St.
