Planning Commission

The Alachua County Planning Commission will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 SE 1st St., Gainesville). This meeting begins at 6 p.m.

The committee will take public comments in person only. The meeting can be viewed on Cox Channel 12, the AC TV app (Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku), or the county’s video-on-demand website.

Item for the Planning Commission meeting:

Z25-000024 – Rezoning from R-1b to R-1a District – This is a request by LJA, agent, for Alachua Habitat for Humanity Inc., owner, to rezone approximately 5.87 acres from R-1b (Single-Family Residential) district to R-1a (Single-Family Residential) district. The land has a land use designation of Low Density Residential (1-4 dwelling units per acre) and is located on Parcel 16134-051-074.
